Enough for Eternity
Believers will be raised up on the last day.
“And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” —John 6:40
Jesus had just declared Himself the Bread of Life. Now He reveals the Father’s heart in the simplest, most beautiful terms. God’s will is not hidden or complicated. It is not a list of rules or a ladder of performance. It is this: Look at the Son. Believe in Him.
In Jesus, God’s desire for you is crystal clear—eternal life now and a bodily resurrection on the last day.
Two promises. One condition.
Eternal life now: Not just life after death, but a secured life with God that begins the moment you believe in Jesus for His life-saving promise. You don’t have to wait for heaven to be fully alive. In Christ, you receive it when you believe in Him. We can experience a more abundant life right now when we live by His power.
Bodily resurrection on the last day: Jesus doesn’t just save your soul—He promises to raise your whole person. Death is not the end. Your body will be redeemed, glorified, and made new. Nothing is lost in Him.
The one condition is beautifully simple: Believe in Jesus. This is enough. More than enough.
When doubts whisper that you’re not worthy, remember: It’s the Father’s will that you have everlasting life. When fear of death rises, remember: Jesus will raise you up. When life feels uncertain, remember: Eternal life is already yours in Him.
Let these two promises anchor your heart: eternal life now and resurrection to come. In Christ, you are secure—today, tomorrow, and for all eternity.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for making Your will so clear and so good. I look to Your Son, Jesus. I believe His life-saving promise. Thank You for the gift of everlasting life that started the day I believed in Jesus. Calm my fears, quiet my doubts, and fill me with the joy of knowing I am held by You forever. Jesus, You are enough for this life and the life to come. I trust You completely. In Your saving name, Amen.
