Born into God's Family
Adopted by faith alone in Christ alone.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. —John 1:12-13
Whoever believes in Jesus has become a child of God, born anew.
Many people live with a quiet question: “Do I really belong in God’s family?” John 1:12-13 gives a clear and beautiful answer. When you simply believe in Jesus, God instantly grants you the right to become His child. This is not earned by effort, good deeds, or religious performance. It is a supernatural birth—entirely from God.
This new birth does not depend on your family line, your willpower, or anyone else’s decision. The moment you put your faith alone in Jesus alone, you are born again into God’s family—forever. You now carry His name, enjoy His love, and share in His inheritance. Your place in God’s family is secure not because of what you do, but because of what Jesus has done.
You can rest in the simple reality that believing in Jesus was enough to bring you into God’s family. You are fully accepted and eternally secure in your Father’s house; eternally secure because Jesus promises eternal life to those who believe in Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that the moment I believed in Jesus, You gave me the right to become Your child. I am born again—not by my efforts, not by my goodness, but by Your grace alone. Help me rest in this truth and live as one who belongs to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
